General Artwork

For fastest service and accuracy, please e-mail your artwork and Purchase Order to Orders@SimplyGoldstar.com. If your attachments exceed 10 MB, please contact customer service for delivery instructions. We strongly encourage vector artwork or high resolution images with minimum 300 dpi/150 lpi in the following formats: JPEG, PSD, TIF, PNG, EPS, PDF, AI, PS. Halftones or grayscale will not be accepted for items requiring silkscreen, pad print or laser engraved imprints.

Files containing text must include fonts or text converted to paths. Artwork must be sized to approximate imprint area for best results. Faxed or drawn artwork cannot be reproduced and may require design time billed at $80.00(c). Artwork will be returned upon request. Art for repeat orders is kept on file by purchase order number for 12 months.

If typesetting is needed for straight line copy, please select from one of the following stock fonts.
If you need another specific font not listed below, please use your own font and Convert to Outlines in Adobe Illustrator before sending.

Please note: Not all fonts are recommended for every product and imprint type. Size of imprint area, amount of text, imprint method and substrate may all be factors in allowing specific fonts. Please contact Customer Service for assistance.

SimpliColor®

SimpliColor® is a proprietary printing process that uses process color, otherwise known as CMYK to give you "virtually unlimited colors". The chart below showcases pre-designed barrel colors and their PMS equivalent to use as reference. Please note that CMYK colors cannot provide an exact PMS match and art submitted with PMS colors will be converted to the closest process color available. Goldstar recommends submitting your art in CMYK and cannot be responsible for changes that may occur as a result of the PMS to CMYK conversion. A Pantone Process Color Imaging Guide can be used to reference similar CMYK values. Goldstar recommends using high resolution artwork with an absolute minimum of 300 DPI/150LPI.

Please note: The PMS colors listed above are for reference only. Due to various substrates and colored materials, Goldstar cannot guarantee imprints to match the referenced PMS color exactly. Goldstar does not recommend imprinting colors other than white, silver or black on colored barrels or silver imprints on metallic painted finishes. Custom matched PMS colors available.

Full-Color Heat Transfer

Full-color heat transfer is a versatile and innovative printing technique that allows for the vibrant and detailed reproduction of complex images, photographs, and graphics using a Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key & White (CMYK-W) imprint using sublimation and a heat transferrable vinyl.

Please note that CMYK colors cannot provide an exact PMS match and art submitted with PMS colors will be converted to the closest process color available. Vector art is required and recommends a minimum of 7pt font size and 2pt for vector lines. Any colors intended to print in white need to be labeled as “Spot White”. All fonts should be converted to outlines and not contain any overlapping paths or unused layers.

Silkscreen/Pad Printing Specifications

Individual products are marked with standard silkscreen imprint colors. Stock colors choices are also available at no additional charge. One-color and multi-color imprints require black and white camera ready art with no half tones and a PMS color breakdown, or digital art. PMS Matching*: PMS Color Matching is available only on select pens (not currently available for Bags and Drinkware), at no additional charge for orders with a minimum of 1,000 pieces. Less than minimum quantity orders are subject to a fee of $15.00(c). Please call for details. Please allow an additional 2 days for production and is not available for 24 or 48 hour rush service.

2 Color Imprints*: Second color imprints are available on specified items only. Items with colored barrels/substrates are not recommended for items that require specific imprint colors or PMS matching. Please allow an additional 2 days for production and is not available for 24 or 48 hour rush service.

Laser Engraving/LaserMax®

Submitted artwork must follow General Artwork guidelines above and artwork cannot be submitted with halftones or grayscale artwork. LaserMax® is available on specified pens. On metal pens that do not have LaserMax® available, second side laser may be available - please see product pages for details.
